Battery Organization
Kids should come with a life time supply of batteries, in all shapes and sizes. Taking the batteries out of their original packaging and placing them in small plastic storage drawers makes access a breeze. Even before my kids could read they could check to see what kind of batteries we had.

On my many mission organization journeys I have come across multiple battery storage solutions, most of which include some sort of drawer tray (which never holds enough of anything) or even special battery organizers that allow you to slide specific battery sizes in one hole whilst pulling them out of another hole. Nope! Don’t like either of these options. First off, I prefer to buy batteries in bulk (often wishing the packages were even ‘bulkier’, we use a lot of batteries) but the battery organizers you buy never hold enough. My mom had one when we were growing up and there always seemed to be ‘extras’ kicking around in the closet because the rack was full, doesn’t this defeat the purpose? Drawers such as this are big enough to hold an entire Costco size package of batteries with room to spare. I also like that I can just dump them in the drawer (no sliding into little slots) and there is nothing else for them to get mixed up with. This also utilizes the space in a cupboard much more than other solutions.
Happy organizing!
