Bran Muffins

5 c. Flour5 tsp. Baking Soda
1 tsp. Salt2 c. Sugar
4 c. AllBran1 c. Shortening
2 c. 40%Branflakes4 eggs
2 c. Dates/Raisins1 quart Buttermilk
1 c. Nuts2 c. Boiling Water

Mix water and nuts, allow to cool. Mix dry and wet ingredients seperately then mix together. Bake at 375 degrees for 12-15 minutes. (Keep in fridge for up to 4 weeks)
