Cream of Tomato Soup

Cream of Tomato Soup


1 lrg. can Stewed Tomatoes1/4 tsp. Pepper
1/2c. Finely Diced Onions2 Tbs. Butter
1 tsp. Sugar2 Tbs. Flour
1 tsp. Salt1 1/2c. Milk

Combine tomatoes, onions, sugar, salt, and pepper in a large saucepan. Simmer for 10 minutes over low heat. In a small saucepan, melt butter or margarine; add flour and stir in milk, stirring constantly, until thickened. Slowly add hot tomatoes, stirring constantly. Heat through.
