1 (6lb) Pork Roast | 1 Tbsp Dry Mustard |
1-2 (20oz) Bottle BBQ Sauce | 1 Tbsp Kosher Salt |
1 Tbsp Paprika | 1 Tbsp Garlic Powder |
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar | 1/4 Cup Water |
In a small bowl combine paprika, brown sugar, dry mustard, kosher salt and garlic powder. Rub spices on all sides of pork roast, place in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
Combine bbq sauce and water. Place roast in a slow cooker, pour sauce over roast. Cook on low 4-6 hours.
Shred pork with two forks. Add more bbq sauce if desired.
*To cook in the oven: remove seasoned pork from refrigerator and place in a large roasting pan. Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Cook roast for 4-6 hours or until tender. Shred with 2 forks and place in a large saucepan. Add bbq sauce and heat.
