Festive Tossed Salad

5 C. torn romaine lettuce

½ C. shredded Swiss cheese

1/2 medium apple, cored, cubed

½ medium pear, cored and cubed

¼ C. cranberries

½ C. chopped cashew

Mix all together all but the nuts. Add the dressing and then the nuts. Toss to coat

Dressing

¼ C. sugar                                          

3 Tbs. red wine vinegar                      

1 Tbs. lemon juice                              

1 Tbs. finely chopped onion  

¼ tsp. salt

1/3 C. vegetable oil

2 tsp. poppy seeds

In a food processor or blender combine all but the oil and poppy seeds. Cover and process, with blender running gradually add oil and poppy seeds
