No-Knead Honey Whole Wheat Bread

No-Knead Honey Whole Wheat Bread

There is something incredibly satisfying about watching your family enjoy fresh homemade bread, and my favorite go-to recipe is a no-knead honey whole wheat bread that is great for toast, sandwiches, or just slicing and eating.

Ingredients:
2 heaping Tbsp. yeast
4 c. warm water
¾ c. honey
1 can evaporated milk
1 heaping Tbsp. salt
2 beaten eggs
10 c. wheat flour (may substitute white flour for up to five cups)

Preheat oven to 325. Sprinkle the yeast on top of the water in a small mixing bowl and add the honey. Let sit for five minutes.

In the meantime, combine the evaporated milk, salt and eggs in a large mixing bowl.

Add the yeast mixture into the large bowl and beat with an electric mixture for a minute or two. One cup at a time, stir in the flour.

Let dough rise in the same bowl you mixed it in, until about double in size. This takes approximately 20 minutes, but depends on the temperature of your kitchen.

Once it is finished rising, spoon it into three greased loaf pans. The dough will be similar in consistency to banana nut bread.

Bake in a preheated oven for 35 to 40 minutes.

What temperature should the oven be? This sounds so easy and good. I hope to try it today!

Thank you for bringing this error to my attention. HEat your oven to 325.
